There are
subtle signs he is not quite into her. Though you know that any guy at a ball
game is going to be somewhat distracted.
The arch of his shoulders in and away from her and both his hands are
caressing his smart phone not her. Though his face is slightly towards her the
mouth is down. This all may be a response to being photographed but he is tired
and not up and happy in this snap. She is tired but feels protected behind him.
Her chin is not just posed but fully resting with significant weight put on his
shoulder. That shows her trust in him and along with her subtle last night I
was loved well smile and arm encircled around his arm lets me know she wants
him and feels safe with him.

Patti Analyzes Celebs Body Language for InTouch Magazine
Patti has analyzed the body language of Victoria
Beckham, Lauren Conrad and Lea Michele for
In Touch Magazine to reveal what
their body language is saying. Read her insightful comments below!
1. Victoria
Beckham
Signature stance:
Left leg extended in front and kind of slouches on her left hip, too.
What does this pose reveal about Victoria
Beckham?
The pose is very
specific seductive come hither pose. The asymmetry sends the message I want to
give myself to you, but you will have to work for it. The asymmetry makes you
look a little longer and tilt your head so it seems like she could be giving
this pose lying in bed. The low slouch and outward turned elbow makes her chest
look more prominent and her profile slimmer.
2. Lauren Conrad
Lauren's
signature stance: Hand on one hip and slight tilt to her head.
What does this pose reveal about Lauren
Conrad? She wants to make
her body look more hour glass shaped. The hand on the hip is also a way to look
powerful, but just on one side the hand on the hip says, “I am strong, but
often the hand and or elbow are behind her. Her feet are often held so close
together belies her lack of confidence. ”
Does this pose accentuate a particular body
part? It is a way to accentuate
the hour glass silhouette.
Is this pose meant to flatter or look cutesy? It seems the hand on hip is a way to
make her FEEL more confident. But her head tilt and low placed chin and feet
show it doesn’t fully work. She is not confident in her iconic pose the way
Beckman is.
What's she trying to convey with the head tilt
and hand on hip?
The head tilt here is submissive.
Anything else you'd like to add about Lauren's
pose? I would coach her
to lift up her body and place her feet slightly farther apart to feel more
powerful.
3. Lea Michele
Lea's signature
stance: Over the shoulder, very sultry gaze...
What does this pose reveal about Lea Michele? I love how she created this perfect
combination of sultry and innocent. Perfect for her role and as she has matured
so has her confidence in her iconic pose. See how she has changed it.
Does this pose accentuate a particular body
part? Yes, her
vulnerable back.
Is this pose meant to be super sexy and like a
seductress?
It's very come hither! It’s seducing by not showing. innocent. It reminds me of
the young Brooke Shields sexy but innocent.
Anything else you'd like to add about Lea's pose? Notice that she is showing the back of the shoulder and the back of the ankle.

Patti Reveals What is Behind Their "Cry Cover" Smiles
This is an expression I call the cry cover smile. Yes, most people who give this expression believe they are covering their true emotions with a smile.
This expression is typically found in men and I think comes from the need to keep a “stiff upper lip.” Many times this expression is an attempt to hide many intense emotions of sadness, fear and anger. I see it in men who typically have very strong egos and power and are caught and brought down. There are several photos of this expression in former Governor Blagojevich.
Congressman Wiener’s expression is a suppressed fear, disgust and anger (If you cover up his mouth and look at just his eyes you will see the whites around his eyes and his sideways glance, and disgust. Notice the wrinkled nose that is a unique movement of the face given in disgust.)
If I knew exactly when he gave that expression I could tell you whether he was disgusted with himself for what he did or disgusted with the media at a particular question or bringing his behavior to light. The wrinkled, upraised chin and tight lips show the suppression of fear and also of anger.
Spitzer also has a cry cover smile. His chin is more raised and more defiant and proud and more of the bottom lip is raised and held inside the mouth. The corners of the mouth come down significantly in a way that is more common to this expression showing his need to smile through the pain. Cover his mouth and you see his eyes are more hooded downwards at the corners and sad. This combination reminds me of the classic sad clown painted face.

Body Language of Jen and Her Men: Marc vs. Ben
I was asked by OK Magazine to analyze the body language of Jen and her men, Marc and Ben. You can read the full article in the August issue of OK!
"The way their hands are intertwined show equality in the relationship"
"The tender kiss he gives is very intimate, very sweet"
"Her upraised chin and intense gaze - all good"
"His posture is like a little old man; she is pulling away"
"She is using her purse as a barrier, her arm as a block"
"It is fake. Her stance is "posey," his smile tense and strained"
