Alex Rodriguez
The 411: Sports Illustrated writer Selena Roberts details Rodriguez's use of PEDs and a failed 2003 drug test in her book "A-Rod: The Many Lives of Alex Rodriguez." To get in front of the story, Rodriguez interviewed with ESPN's Peter Gammons and held a news conference at the Yankees' spring training facility.
The Apology: Rodriguez to Gammons: "It was such a loosey-goosey era. I'm guilty for a lot of things. I'm guilty for being negligent, naive, not asking all the right questions. And to be quite honest, I don't know exactly what substance I was guilty of using." His presser at spring training was attended by various Yankees players, including catcher Jorge Posada, who walked out halfway through.
The Aftermath: After recovering from hip surgery, Rodriguez led the Yankees to the 2009 World Series title and won the Babe Ruth Award as the New York chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America's postseason MVP. Upon receiving the trophy, an emotional Rodriguez asked, "What's next, the good guy award?" No, A-Rod, what's next is the death of karma.

Tigers Woods Press Conferance
Fear, stress, joy, confidence and, finally, exhaustion.
That's what Tiger Woods exhibited at his first press conference, says Atlanta-based body language expert Patti Wood, author of Success Signals: Understanding Body Language, based on these moves:
• Taking off his hat and wiping his head with his elbow as he entered the room:
"Any signal like that is to get rid of bad feelings, bad thoughts or bad emotions. It was also defensive toward the journalists. He was afraid of what was going to happen."
• Tone of voice when he first spoke:
"His voice went very high which showed his enormous stress. His eyes were very wide, too, which shows stress."

• Shoulders rising when asked if he did steroids:
"It looks and sounds believable. He's answering very calmly. And, as he's saying it, his voice doesn't go up. But his shoulders and head come up straight. That's what people do when they feel positive and confident. He feels positive and confident when he says, 'He did not give me HGH.' "
• Taking a drink when asked about media coverage:
"Instead of savoring that sweet drink, he sticks his tongue out. He wanted to stick his tongue out at them, but it left a bad taste in his mouth. Then after the drink, he coughed and put his hand over his mouth. Which says it didn't go down well and he wanted to cough up how horrible it was."
• Smiling while talking about golf:
"It's the first time I've seen a real, true sparkle in his eye. That's all honest. That's all true. This is what really makes him joyful."
• Walking out of the room at the end:
"He's not running and he's not slouching. His body language is not defeated as he walks out of the room. He was done. He wasn't mad. He was, more than anything, a little bit tired."

Shame, shame, shame! That was the theme of Tiger Woods' 14-minute press conference/mea culpa on Friday afternoon. While verbally, Woods' expressed how wrong, foolish and selfish he had been, Tiger's body language spoke to the immense shame and humiliation he felt while having to publicly admit his wrongdoing. According to body language experts we spoke with about the Friday fiasco, Tiger was absolutely truthful and repentant. What they said after the jump!
"Shame causes a person to feel inferior to, and 'smaller' than, others -- something Tiger probably hasn't experienced much in recent years. But you can see his unconscious attempt to appear 'smaller' by the very subdued posture, and lack of gesturing," explains body language expert Vincent Harris. "The fact that Tiger was displaying non-verbal signs of shame only tells us he is humiliated by the disapproval of others, but not that he felt guilt about his actions before others knew about his behavior."
As Woods approached the podium alone, the fear in his eyes was obvious.
He was incredibly tense and fearful when he first walked out. Usually, his body lang
